Raj Dhokia  (Chairman)

Raj joined the Trustee Board in 2008 and has been Chairman since 2009.  Since becoming Chairman Raj has overseen a period of change within the Charity which has seen its commercial revenues increase substantially to the extent that we are now almost self-funded. He feels our staff and volunteers are key to this success.

Raj is passionate and committed to the Charity’s objectives of improving life and  independence in later years .

One of his favourite quotes is by Sir Alex Ferguson who said “Retirement is for young people “

Outside interests include a full time career as a Partner in a London law firm which is very conveniently located near one of his other passions – a cricket ground!

Rob Whitehouse

Rob Whitehouse (Vice Chairman)

As Chief Executive of Slough Community Leisure Rob heads up a Health and Wellbeing Charity providing services to reduce inactivity within our local community.

Rob believes that creating the right balance between the commercial activities of a charity and those services subsidised to meet the needs of certain target groups will be a key challenge going forward. Rob is on the Board of ACSABE as he recognises there are many synergies of purpose between the two organisations and wants to provide support where possible. Rob likes to keep fit and is a keen sportsman.
