Handy Help
with 'Handy Helpers'.
Help raise much needed funds for your local Age Concern by doing odd jobs, tasks or chores for friends and family in return for donations. It's that simple. Be a 'Handy Helper' and support your local Age Concern. All the money you raise comes to Age Concern Slough & Berkshire East. We know that our local schools are also in need of fundraising income and as a local charity we can help our local schools fundraise with 'Handy Helpers'.If you are a school taking part then the money raised by the pupils taking part is split with the school. This is a great way to work together to benefit our local community across all age groups.
The idea is fairly simple and could be carried out at anytime with Age Concern doing most of the organising with a little help from you. We ask the children to carry out odd jobs and chores over a weekend for friends, family or neighbours in return for donations. All of the donations are brought back in on Monday as the money raised from the event. Depending the on the ethos and approach of the school a prize can be put up for the child who raises the most money, if appropriate. Most Schools are as keen to fundraise as we are so we felt this would be a great way to support our local schools and fundraise at the same time. Therefore all of the money raised would be split between the school and Age Concern Slough and Berkshire East.
And of course we can do the Handy Helpers fundraiser anytime to suit you.
