Information and Advice

We provide Information & Advice in different ways. Age Concern Slough and Berkshire East continues to provide independent, Community Legal Service compliant advice, in Slough, The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead and Berkshire East.
We can offer help and assistance if:
- You are a friend, relative or carer of an older person
- You are an older person yourself
- You are considering a move to a residential or a care home
- You need help at home but are unable to pay for it
- You have the money to pay for support at home, either for yourself or for tasks around the home, but do not know how to find this help
We provide essential information on a wide variety of topics and publish Fact Sheets covering subjects such as residential homes and leisure activities, as well as providing a library of resources. All the Information & Advice services are provided free of charge.
If you want to know more about benefits you may be entitled to; pensions, health, housing, transport, home safety or you are interested in any of the other services we provide, please give us a call.
We can write letters on your behalf or offer support to complete forms. If you just want to talk through your problems to help put things in perspective, or to make an important decision, we can provide a listening ear - all in the strictest confidence.

The service is staffed Monday – Friday, 10am - 3pm. Messages can be left out of hours on our answerphone service and we will respond within 24 hours.
