Ceramic Exhibition
A Ceramic Exhibition will be held on 24 March 2012 in support of Age Concern Slough and Berkshire East at St Joseph’s Parish Centre, Cookham Road, Maidenhead, SL6 7EG.
Previous exhibitions have raised several hundred pounds for other charities such as Thames Valley Adventure Playground, Thames Hospice Care and Cancer Research UK.
Fifteen to twenty local potters will be displaying their very different works and donating a portion of their sales plus a pot for the raffle. The wide range includes functional and decorative wares, garden pots, presentation pieces and sculpture in earthenware, stoneware and porcelain.
A large mailing list ensures that previous visitors are notified well in advance of the forthcoming show. There is a vibrant, generous and sociable atmosphere in which regular and new visitors are able to discuss their interests with the exhibitors and the potters can catch up on gossip with their colleagues.
The standard of the work is high and after the initial selection of purchases the numerous raffle pots are carefully scrutinised in anticipation of success in the draw. If you would like to see for yourself that local ceramics is flourishing and contributing why not come along to St Joseph’s on the 24th of March?
