Manor Park Day Centre

Manor park day centre

Manor Park Day Centre provides a friendly, safe and sociable environment, which is a lifeline to many older people in and around Slough.

Each morning a light breakfast is served and a freshly prepared hot lunch, catering for all dietary needs is also available.

We offer a range of services, which cater for social, physical, emotional and health needs; including Chiropody and Cardio-vascular exercise classes for all abilities. GPs and District Nurses also attend the facility to carry out routine check-ups and administer flu jabs during their patients’ regular day at the centre.

Throughout the year, Manor Park Day Centre provides a range of social activities including flower arranging, quizzes, garden club, bingo, arts and crafts and board games. Staff and volunteers also take clients out on day trips, which in the past have included boat trips along The Thames, visits to local garden centres which also include lunch or cream teas for an extra treat! Other regular events on the social calendar include the Harvest Festival service at William Pen School, Christmas lunch and party at the York Club in Windsor Great Park, plus a visit to the local Sikh temple to learn about different cultures within the area, included a special buffet lunch.

The regular in-house entertainment programme has included performances by local theatre groups together with a sing-song with the client’s favourite entertainer, Roy’s Road Show. Special themed parties are also held, such as Halloween, Mother’s Day and Easter, together with a bonfire lunch.

Manor Park Day Centre – Transport

Transport remains an integral part of Manor Park Day Centre’s success. Our drivers and passenger assistants pick up clients at their homes from 8.30am and return them no later than 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. All transport staff are trained in disability awareness, ensuring maximum support and safety for clients. When picking up and dropping clients, transport staff can also carry out basic checks in the client’s home environment, to ensure that all is well.

Manor Park Day Centre now accepts private clients as well as those referred to us by social services. Download our information and price schedule. Here
